The new deals keeps Union games on Fox Sports Radio “The Gambler” for two years
For those who took part in listening to the Philadelphia Union on the radio last season, there is some good news to share ahead of their regular season campaign. The team announced that they have re-signed an agreement with iHeartMedia Philadelphia. This means fans will be able to continue listening to games over the radio, or even through your smart devices.
The two-year deal keeps Fox Sports Radio “The Gambler” as the teams official radio broadcast partner. Fans will be able to dial into three radio channels 102.5 FM, 104.5 HD2 and 1480 AM. You will also be able to hear the games on the iHeart App.
Philadelphia Union Chief Marketing Officer, Doug Voski talked about how the agreement with iHeart Media’s Philly stations help to grow the Union’s brand. “Renewing our agreement with iHeartMedia and The Gambler solidifies the continued growing fan interest in Philadelphia to watch, attend and listen to the Union whether it be in person or via television, digital streams or radio broadcast.”
“We will have more dedicated segments, live broadcasts, and new voices on the station. I think we all can agree that there’s unfinished business on the pitch, and we’ll be all over it for every Union fan out there. So download the iHeartRadio app and never miss a minute of Union soccer this season on the Gambler,” said Sean Brace, The Gambler Program director.
With Major League Soccer kicking off this weekend, the first game you will be able to hear under the renewed agreement is Sunday when the Union look to get three points on the road against MLS Cup winner’s Columbus Crew. Kickoff for Sunday’s game is at 5:30.
