All the trades are settled and now rosters have taken shape. On some teams, the players traded for have made their debuts and we can see what the lineups, defensive alignments and bullpen usages are going to look like, if only as a sneak peek into the thinking of the managers.
The Phillies made a few moves over the deadline, so it’s time to think about where they sit in the hierarchy of the game today. Now that the deadline is passed, where do you rank the Phillies in terms of the National League and in MLB at large? The NL is probably the superior overall league this season, but the AL has some good teams in it, one of which is in town this weekend. It’s not as if there is some huge gap, so where are you putting the team right now compared to all the others?
