Really?
Some games don’t really need a recap. The carnage is laid bare for all to see, the disappointment palpable for anyone who witnessed it. For the Phillies, they had a chance to come out of the break like gang busters and fell on their face, rescued only by a grand slam of Schwarbarian performance.
Today?
Ranger Suarez didn’t have it.
Taylor Ward played like a guy who wants to hit at Citizens Bank Park more often.

Jose Soriano was actually quite good against a Phillies lineup that, while missing a few pieces, still can be pretty dangerous.
Yeah, Otto Kemp homered today, giving him more home runs in Citizens Bank Park this year than Trea Turner, but the offense was stifled by Soriano, creating an environment where the boos felt a little more visceral than yesterday. My imagination, maybe, but that game really was kind of depressing to watch.
Ugly.
