We’re seeing a bench job being won
In 2026, the Phillies will have some money to spend, looking for different ways to upgrade the roster, however they finish this year. They’ll definitely spend, but it’s nice to have certain roles filled with major league minimum players.
One of those roles is probably being filled right now by Otto Kemp.
He may not be much with the glove, but he’s not embarrassing. His bat off the bench is just fine and as he’s shown, he can come off the bench late to get them a needed hit. He should be on his way to getting a spot on the roster next season.
