It’s getting ugly. Again.
Another day, another bad loss by the team. Yet again, the offense came up small, doing nothing all day and forcing the pitchers to be too fine, resulting in a broken bat hit that felt inevitable.
I’ll still choose to believe that this is a good team that is in the midst of a really bad slump, but there are some concerning things that are happening right now. They can’t depend on the rest of the National League to be bad to make the playoffs; they’ll need to start to playing well before the gap gets too wide.
