Happy Father’s Day!
Baseball is often times linked to the relationship between fathers and sons. For a vast majority of people, this is truth. My father taught me the game, I’ve taught my son the game and so on.
But even on this Father’s Day, let’s give a shoutout to the other people who taught us about baseball. Maybe it was a mother who first led you to this sport, maybe it was a stepfather, a grandparent, aunt, uncle, cousin, brother, sister. While today may be one for the dads, when it comes to baseball, we’re learning from everyone all the time.
On to the links.
Phillies news:
- That Aaron Nola has a stress fracture in one of his ribs caught him by surprise. There are rumors he’s out for two months.
- Seems that the Mets and the Phillies will be vying for the exact same relievers come the trade deadline.
MLB news:
- Aaron Civale requested a trade out of Milwaukee once he went to the bullpen. Now, he’s going to the White Sox. Yikes.
- Wait, Royce Lewis is injured again? That’s odd to see.
- Not your average baseball story from here, but if you chase Topps Debut patches, there is one that should top your list.
