It isn’t the end of the world
No matter what the team decides to do with the shortstop position – more of Stott there, more of Sosa there – one thing we can all agree on: it’s not optimal for the team.
Luckily, they have the pitching to weather the storm right now, something a lot of other teams wouldn’t be able to lean on. Personally, with that starting pitching, I’d prioritize the defense over the offense for now since the pitchers do depend on balls in play being turned into outs at a high rate.
