A day off, finally
Why are the Phillies playing so many games this early in the year? It seems like there are almost no off days for the team (and by extension, us), which has to be bearing down on them somewhat. Is it because of their going to London later on? They do have two days off before playing a game there and a day off once they return home. Is MLB making those games up now?
Just seems like a lot of baseball and not a lot of rest.
On to the links.
Phillies news:
- It’s a new month, which gives us a chance to reflect on the old month, which means checking the stock of some of the pitchers on the staff.
- When prospect lists come out in midseason, you’ll start seeing a lot of George Klassen, the hard throwing reliever in Clearwater.
- Spencer Turnbull……piggyback pitcher?
MLB news:
- Stolen bases are back, baby, rising like a phoenix out of Arizona. How are pitchers adjusting to the new thievery?
- Wow, Jose Abreu got the Roy Halladay demotion treatment. He’s pretty terrible, folks.
- Max Scherzer is nearer to a return, but it might take a little longer thanks to a sore right thumb.
