It’s getting late early for Aaron Nola
So much for Aaron Nola building some momentum. Last night’s start was a total disaster, as Nola was charged with 9 runs in just 3.2 IP. He surrendered 12 total hits including 3 home runs. His season ERA now sits at 6.16 through 9 starts. He’s had rough stretches before, but never one this prolonged to begin the season. Nola simply needs to get better and fast, as we’re starting to pass the point of “it’s early”. If he doesn’t, there’s going to be some uncomfortable discussions.
