It’s still early. Still.
I will admit that I watched very little of the game yesterday, what with my being at a travel baseball tournament. Judging from everything that I read on social media as the game was moving forward, it wasn’t a pleasant experience for anyone involved. The offense is still struggling, Taijuan Walker looked like he was laboring the entire outing and it continued to be a slog to watch.
To which I say: it’s still early. They’re playing poorly and are running into teams that are decidedly not. It’s going to happen to everyone at some point this season, even the best of teams.

- Is it possible that the team could have fixed their current bullpen issues this past offseason, only didn’t ($)?
- Cristopher Sanchez is going to see his turn skipped in the rotation this upcoming Tuesday, but he’s trending in the right direction.

- While the Phillies now have the left-hander in their rotation, it looks like the Cubs had a shot at acquiring Jesus Luzardo this offseason ($).
