Well done, Mr. Rager
The complete game shutout is a rarity these days, an exquisite thing of beauty that is being seen far less in the age of pitch counts. That’s why when you see them, as we did with Ranger Suarez last night, you savor them, no matter the end time of the game. There were some mild complaints that the game was too fast, but that’s the best way defenses like to play – on their toes, the pitcher ready to go as soon as he gets the ball. It was a pleasure to watch.
