Phillies trade for Pirates’ reliever who flashed upside in Red Sox pitching factory

The Philadelphia Phillies acquired right-hander Chase Shugart from the Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday. The reliever had previously shown some promise with the Boston Red Sox.
