After dropping their first two games in San Diego, the Phillies look to win the finale, to end their west coast road trip – and the “first half” of the season – on a high note.
Cristopher Sanchez gets the ball, which is notable because it made him ineligible for the All-Star team despite a worthy performance.

He’ll be up against former Phillies Nick Pivetta who comes in hot, giving up just one run in his last three starts combined. (One of those was against the Phillies who were responsible for the lone run.)
