Mother’s Day on Sunday Night Baseball
Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there!
For all of you, as well as anyone who celebrates Mother’s Day in any capacity, the schedule makers have freed up the afternoon for you. Instead, the Phillies will take on the Guardians on Sunday night in the finale of their three-game set.
After getting shut out on Friday, the Phillies bounced back on Saturday behind a Bryce Harper home run and stellar pitching from Ranger Suarez. Zack Wheeler will look to duplicate Suarez’s performance as the Phillies go for the series win on Sunday.
The Guardians will answer with righthander Luis Ortiz. The veteran is having a rough first season in Cleveland with a 5.30 ERA.
Game time is 7 PM and will be televised by ESPN.
