A hopefully healthy Cristopher Sanchez will take the mound
After Tuesday night’s “interesting” win over the Washington Nationals, the Phillies will be back in action on Wednesday night. Hopefully they can earn their second straight over the Nats – and fourth straight overall – in a more conventional manner than in Tuesday’s wacky affair.
Cristopher Sanchez will get the ball for the Phillies, in his first outing since being removed from a start prematurely due to forearm soreness. Reportedly, he’s been pain-free since then, but this will be the first true test.

The Nationals will counter with righthander Jake Irvin. This will be Irvin’s second start against the Phillies in 2025, after giving up two runs in five innings back in March.
