Does anyone?
The Phillies return to Houston for a three games series tonight, which of course brings back memories of the 2022 World Series. As disappointed as I was with the result, the Astros were the clear better team and probably would have won game seven anyway, so making it that far was a great season.
However, whenever I see the Astros, I get irrationally angry. I just truly don’t like that team. Maybe it’s a bit of the fact that the Phillies lost that World Series, maybe it’s still the fact that they straight up cheated to win games and nothing really happened to them. They even got to duck the fans for a season because of the pandemic, which would have been rough for them. They shouldn’t bother me because they’re about as far away from the Phillies as one can get when considered divisional alignment, but they do. They bother me.
Which brings us to our question: do you even like the Astros at all? I’m sure they aren’t your favorite team, but is there anything redeemable about them? They’re a good baseball team, that much is true. One cannot deny their accomplishments post trash can banging, but still.
They bother me.
