In what could be described as a Rooney Rule interview, Eagles running backs coach Jemal Singleton recently met with the Saints about their vacant offensive coordinator job.
Singleton joins Philadelphia quarterbacks coach Doug Nussmeier and defensive backs coach Christian Parker as staff members who have had interviews with New Orleans since Kellen Moore was hired as head coach.
Eagles assistant head coach and RB coach Jemal Singleton interviewed for the Saints offensive coordinator job, per source. One Eagles official recently described Singleton as “a big part of what we do on offense and a rising star going forward.”

In 2021, Singleton left the Kentucky Wildcats to become the running backs coach on Nick Sirianni’s staff.
Before Kentucky, Singleton was on the Cincinnati Bengals’ coaching staff and played collegiately at the Air Force Academy.
Singleton has coached Saquon Barkley, D’Andre Swift, Miles Sanders, Joe Mixon, Gio Bernard, Marshawn Lynch, Marlon Mack, Nyheim Hines, and Frank Gore.
