As the Sun Finally Sets on Nearly Four Months of Celebration — It’s Time To Focus on 2025.
It’s come to my attention that some may be slightly annoyed that in these modern times — I still occasionally refer to the 2024–2025 Philadelphia Eagles as World Champions. World Champions, World Champions, World Champions, World Champions, World Champions.
Now I feel better.
A winter of celebration that turned from a ring ceremony into a spring trip to the White House is now fading into the rear-view mirror. Free agency has happened. The 2025 NFL Draft is complete, undrafted free agents have been offered, and rookie mini camp is done. Hometown celebrations and famed guests appearance have also concluded.

And for those of you who are worried about the 2025–2026 Philadelphia Eagles having a campaign last season — let me help. They probably won’t.
I’m not saying that these Eagles cannot win the NFC or even the Super Bowl. They absolutely can. I’m simply saying that the way in which that these Eagles won their 2025–2026 Super Bowl may very well never happen again in our lifetime.
But there are many ways to win a World Championship (I mean a Super Bowl.)

But as the warmth of spring moves into the heat of the summer — the Eagles may have something the at may very well get this group back to a parade down Broad Street in February of 2026.
The Eagles know all too well not only how it feels to win a Super Bowl in a blowout but also how it feels to lose one in less than 2 minutes. And they know how hard it is to return to one. That the best laid plans and preparation can’t prepare you for the affect of a precipitous decent of going 1–7 after a 10–1 start.
But the impact of such an experience does have a benefit. You know as a team how easily that it can happen. No one would have thought that when the Eagles came one drive away from hoisting the Lombardi Trophy — that they would fizzle in the NFC Wildcard Round a year later in Tampa in 2024. And no one watching that team could have fathomed that a year after that — the Eagles would bulldoze their way through the entire NFC Playoffs — thrashing that Chiefs team that beat them in Super Bowl LVII in the process — and capturing a championship in the process.
We knew winning a Super Bowl before — but not like this. The Eagles first Lomdardi Trophy was acquired by winning a twelve-round prize fight in 2018 rather than the thumping of 2025.
The Eagles will work to avoid the hardship of the 2024 playoffs. They will want to maximize the opportunity of winning another championship while this roster is still intact. The Eagles know how hard it is to get there — and how hard it is to win one.
The 2025–2026 Eagles may not win a Super Bowl in blowout style. But they may win a World Championship (either way — we’ll take it.)
