Welcome to Bleeding Green Nation’s 2024 NFL Draft live blog! The draft itself begins at 8:00 PM ET on ABC, ESPN, and NFL Network. Click here for info on how to watch the broadcast.
This post will have updates throughout the night, including picks, trades, and more, while also serving as an open thread for discussion in the comments.
The Philadelphia Eagles will begin the night with the No. 22 overall pick, but it wouldn’t be surprising for Howie Roseman to trade up — especially since the team is starting the draft with eight total picks.
Let’s have some fun!

UPDATES
[11:34 PM]: The Bucs picked C Graham Barton at No. 26, followed by the Cardinals choosing DE Darius Robinson at No. 27, and the Chiefs traded up to take WR Xavier Worthy at No. 28. The Cowboys made their first pick of the night at No. 29, selecting OT Tyler Guyton.
[11:17 PM]: After the Eagles took CB1, the Jaguars went WR Brian Thomas Jr. at No. 23, followed by the Cowboys trading their No. 24 pick to the Lions, who ended up taking CB Terrion Arnold. The Packers then quickly selected OT Jordan Morgan at No. 25 overall.
[10:44 PM]: EAGLES PICK CB QUINYON MITCHELL OUT OF TOLEDO AT NO. 22 OVERALL!!!!
[10:35 PM]: The Dolphins take Chop Robinson at No. 21 and THE EAGLES ARE ON THE CLOCK!
[10:29 PM]: Steelers end up with one of the remaining top offensive lineman, taking Troy Fautanu at No. 20 overall.
[10:22 PM]: The Rams made a first round pick for the first time since 2016, and with their No. 19 selection, LA chose EDGE Jared Verse out of Florida State.
#Eagles like Washington T Troy Fautanu, that I know, but I heard a comparison to Isaac Seumalo from inside the building. Do they want to draft a guy that projects more as an interior OL than a tackle in the first round?

[10:13 PM]: Bengals stay at No. 18 to take Georgia OT Amarius Mims — someone the Eagles liked a lot and was oft-mocked to Philly. That’s five offensive tackles taken in the first 18 picks, which is crazy!
[10:08 PM]: The Vikings are being aggressive so far, trading up again, this time with the Jacksonville Jaguars for the No. 17 overall pick. Minnesota selected EDGE Dallas Turner out of Alabama.
Vikings traded up to No. 17 with the Jaguars and are taking Alabama Edge Dallas Turner. #Eagles five picks away. Remaining players of interest:
Quinyon Mitchell, CB, Toledo
Troy Fautanu, T, Washington
Terroin Arnold, CB, Alabama
Jared Verse, Edge, Florida State
Tyler Guyton, T,…— Jeff McLane (@Jeff_McLane) April 26, 2024
[10:04 PM]: The Seahawks were considered by some as a possible trade partner for the Eagles at No. 16, but yet again, no trade transpired and Seattle picked Texas DT Byron Murphy.
[9:54 PM]: Shane Steichen and the Indianapolis Colts had the No. 15, and went with the first defensive player of the night, taking DE/OLB Laiatu Latu.
[9:47 PM]: New Orleans Saints stay at No. 14 — only one trade so far in Round 1 — and draft OT Taliese Fuaga out of Oregon State.
Some people thought the Eagles would take a tackle in the first round to start prepping for Lane Johnson’s eventual retirement, but it doesn’t look like they’re willing to trade up for the position.
[9:39 PM]: The Raiders stayed put at No. 13 overall and selected Georgia TE Brock Bowers — making it 13-for-13 offensive players.
[9:33 PM]: Quarterback Bo Nix was drafted No. 12 by the Denver Broncos, making it six QBs taken early in the first round, and giving the Eagles some good news and options as defensive players haven’t been picked yet. The No. 12 pick was one that the Eagles had reportedly called about leading up to the draft, but either Denver didn’t want to do a deal, or Howie Roseman didn’t feel like they needed to with how things have played out thus far.
[9:28 PM]: Jets are on the clock at No. 11 and took the third OT of the night, Olumuyiwa Fashanu out of Penn State.
[9:17 PM]: The Minnesota Vikings traded up to No. 10 in order to draft J.J. McCarthy, the fifth QB taken off the board.
Push those defensive players down the board! https://t.co/2pg1x2QiZj

[9:12 PM]: Bears get another offensive weapon for Caleb Williams with the No. 9 pick, selecting WR Rome Odunze.
[9:08 PM]: WHAT!? The Falcons stayed at No. 8 overall, and ended up drafting QB Michael Penix Jr. out of Washington… this despite signing Kirk Cousins to a massive four-year, $180 million deal this offseason. The wheels should start falling off for the rest of the round after this surprise pick.
[9:03 PM]: The offensive tackles are coming off the board early, with JC Latham going No. 7 overall to the Tennessee Titans.
[8:56 PM]: Giants sent a message with their first round pick, taking WR Malik Nabers at No. 6 overall. It was a bit of mystery what the NFC East team was going to do — with rumors suggesting they would trade back, and others saying they’d take a QB —. but ultimately, they went with a talented receiver to play alongside Daniel Jones.
[8:49 PM]: The first offensive lineman is off the board, OT Joe Alt was picked No. 5 by the Los Angeles Chargers — who will likely move Alt from the left to right side.
[8:41 PM]: Ohio State WR Marvin Harrison Jr. went No. 4 overall to the Arizona Cardinals — an elite offensive weapon that Jonathan Gannon doesn’t deserve.
[8:33 PM]: Reports early on Thursday indicated the Patriots were done listening to offers for their No. 3 pick and were planning to make the selection themselves. They stayed at the top in order to draft QB Drake Maye out of North Carolina.
[8:29 PM]: Washington Commanders had the No. 2 overall pick and got their quarterback, Heisman-winner Jayden Daniels out of LSU.
[8:20 PM]: The Bears took over six minutes to make the pick they’ve known about for months, and did what we all knew that they would, draft QB Caleb Williams at No. 1 overall.
[8:08 PM]: LET’S GOOOOOOO!!! The Bears are about to be on the clock, and Eagles fans are already celebrating A.J. Brown singing a three-year extension.
