On Friday night, four NFL games took center stage as the preseason comes to a close, making way for the regular season.
The final weekend of preseason football got off to an inauspicious start. New Orleans was forced to cancel its preseason game this weekend due to Hurricane Ida in the Gulf of Mexico.
The Saints weren’t the only team dealing with inclement weather, though. While not on the same level as a hurricane, severe thunderstorms rolled through north New Jersey on Friday night.
Shortly before kickoff, large puddles started forming on the field. The worst part, though, was the rains produced elevated mounds on the field.
Check it out.

Thankfully, eventually the field drained and the game was able to be played. The Jets and Eagles produced an incredible product, with New York completing an incredible comeback in the final minute of the game.
Trailing 31-23 with under a minute left, quarterback James Morgan hit tight end Kenny Yeboah on a 49-yard Hail Mary attempt. The Jets added a two-point conversion to tie the game with no time left on the clock.
