“I’m 90 Percent Retired” – All-Pro Leaving Door Open for Return, 5 Possible Team Fits

April 11, 2025 by Last Word On Pro Football

brandon graham return

In a surprising twist, the longtime Eagle defensive end Brandon Graham isn’t closing the door on a potential return this 2025 season. According to reports, the future Hall of Famer appeared on the Up & Adams Show, discussing that he’s still keeping up with his training, so there’s a chance that the pass rusher could come out of retirement and sign elsewhere. This comes after retiring last month since winning the Super Bowl, as it was always the plan to hang up his cleats, but it shouldn’t be surprising if he ends up coming back. Originally selected in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft, the former Michigan product spent his entire career with the Philadelphia Eagles, recording over 76 sacks, seven fumble recoveries, 11 pass deflections and 487 total tackles across those seasons.

Last season, the All-Pro tore his triceps in Week 12 and didn’t play in the remainder of the campaign. However, he came back in time for the Super Bowl, and the defense was solely responsible for helping them get there. Graham was going to retire either way if Philadelphia didn’t make an appearance in the big game. Despite that, it will be interesting to see what happens with him, as the longtime Philly favorite could bolt to sign with these five teams late into the 2025 season for one last run.

Next Possible Teams

Kansas City Chiefs

This would be a nightmare for the Philadelphia Eagles fans and a betrayal, but anything is possible in this league. However, the Chiefs did lose embarrassingly in the past Super Bowl, so they could bring Graham out of retirement and stick it to the Eagles. Despite that, the team doesn’t need a defensive end, but it would be a nice upgrade over George Karlaftis and Mike Danna for just one season. If the Eagles and Chiefs meet again, prepare for these two to thrown down if Graham is a Chief.

Baltimore Ravens

Last season, the Baltimore Ravens didn’t have the same defensive powerhouse even though there were signs of life. Nnamdi Madubuike is still playing at a high level, but the same can’t be said about Broderick Washington. Graham is a fit into this defense that can finally push quarterback Lamar Jackson to win his first Super Bowl for the Ravens in more than a decade since the Joe Flacco Era.

Los Angeles Chargers

It’s still a surprise that the Los Angeles Chargers have yet to add a capable pass rusher since releasing Joey Bosa. Da’Shawn Hand is not capable enough to get them back in the postseason. The team lost Poona Ford but luckily signed Teair Tart to provide some insurance in the middle. Despite that, they need a new answer, and Graham could be that to at least push for them for an AFC Championship.

Dallas Cowboys

If the Dallas Cowboys lose Micah Parsons this offseason, the team could panic and turn to a variety of other options. The team lost Demarcus Lawrence and made up for it, signing Dante Fowler Jr. back for one season. He might be a temporary signing, depending on the cap space. However, quarterback Dak Prescott isn’t getting any younger, and Graham will increase their chances for a Super Bowl run.

Buffalo Bills

Meanwhile, Josh Allen and the Bills are in the best position to win a Super Bowl themselves. It’s questionable that the team signed Joey Bosa in replacement of future Hall of Famer Von Miller. However, the team should try to bring Graham to finally push past the AFC Championship Game.
