In 1991 — the Eagles were primed to make a run — not at the NFC Playoffs — but at the Super Bowl. They had a suffocating defense — one that was forged by Buddy Ryan in the style of the vaunted 1985 Chicago Bears. On offense — a dynamic Randall Cunningham had two other weapons on offense. The Eagles may have had championship caliber quarterbacks like Jalen Hurts, Nick Foles, and Donovan McNabb. None of them possessed the athletcism of Randall Cunningham. With Cunningham on the offense were All-Pro Tight End Keith Jackson and wide receiver Kenny Jackson.
Sometimes when you are looking for top collegiate talent after the NFL Draft concludes — you can add deep talent to your NFL roster by just watching the results of the college Bowl Games — just the December and January before for some great additions.

Giles Jackson — is one of those players. And now he’s signed with the Eagles.
Coming into perhaps the best wide receiver room in the NFL — one might think that Jackson wouldn’t have much of a chance to make the roster. But then you don’t know Giles Jackson. Spending his first two seasons at Michigan — he scored as a kick returner on returns of 95 and 97 yards. But after transferring to the University of Washington — last Bowl season is where he made a terrific impression. During a 35–34 loss to Louisville — he scored four times on plays from 1, 31, 40, and 49 yards out.
Jackson will have plenty of competition in the Eagles wide receiver room, and not just from A.J. Brown and Devonta Smith. He also will need to compete for time with second-year wide receivers Johnny Wilson and Ainias Smith. Taylor Morin is Wake Forest’s all-time receiving leader — he is an intruiging option as a punt and returner. Jackson’s path to a roster spot may be to contribute in the return game and to give Cooper DeJean a rest.
