Follow along with the latest happenings here.

The Philadelphia Eagles’ roster is down to the 53-player limit after making 27 moves ahead of Tuesday’s cuts deadline. The tinkering is far from over, though.

Wednesday’s action involves the NFL waiver wire and the formation of a 16-player practice squad (17 if you include international exemption DE Matt Leo). The Eagles rank 19th in the waiver claim process so Howie Roseman could be looking to add a player or two that have been let go by another team. We’ll officially find out the results after the claiming period ends a 12:00 PM Eastern with practice squad formation beginning around 1:00 PM.

Keep track of the Eagles roster moves below. Check back often for the latest news and updates.

UPDATES

[3:44 PM ET] – The Eagles waived Davion Taylor to make room for claiming Ian Book off waivers. Wow. Taylor really struggled by the end of the summer … but I thought they’d give him one last chance to stick around. Would rather have kept him than K’Von Wallace.

[3:41 PM ET] – The Eagles officially confirmed 14 practice squad signings: Devon Allen, Kayode Awosika, Kennedy Brooks, Deon Cain, Andre Chachere, Le’Raven Clark, Britain Covey, Christian Elliss, Mario Goodrich, Anthony Harris, Reid Sinnett, Noah Togiai, Cameron Tom, and Marvin Wilson. They also confirmed Matt Leo is back with the exemption as part of the International Pathway Program. So, no confirmation of Perine just yet.

[3:30 PM ET] – By my count, the Eagles have one remaining spot to fill.

[3:28 PM ET] – Kennedy Brooks, Le’Raven Clark, and Matt Leo also spotted at practice. Brooks and Perine being the two running backs likely means Jason Huntley, who wasn’t seen at NovaCare, isn’t returning. For shame. Clark is a solid OT option to have around on the practice squad but he might be in danger of getting poached. Leo doesn’t count towards the limit due to his exempt status. (Source: Dave Zangaro)

[3:09 PM ET] – Marvin Wilson and Christian Elliss also spotted at practice. (Source: EJ Smith)

[3:07 PM ET] – The Eagles are practicing this afternoon and Andre Chachere and Kayode Awosika were among those spotted at practice after being waived on Tuesday. Looks like they’re back on the practice squad. (Source: Dave Zangaro and EJ Smith)

[2:54 PM ET] – The Eagles are reportedly signing La’Mical Perine, a fourth-round pick by the New York Jets in 2020, to their practice squad. More depth behind the three running backs on the roster. Perine has a reptuation as more a no-nonsense runner, so maybe he could fill the power back role that people have been calling for. (Source: Perine’s agent)

[2:18 PM ET] – THE EAGLES REPORTEDLY TRADED JALEN REAGOR! To the Minnesota Vikings! (Source: Adam Schefter)

[1:55 PM ET] – The Eagles are reportedly indeed bringing Anthony Harris back on the practice squad. (Source: John Clark)

[1:45 PM ET] – Anthony Harris is reportedly “strongly considering” coming back on the Eagles’ practice squad. That would be a pretty nice depth option to have around. (Source: John Clark)

[1:38 PM ET] – The Eagles are reportedly bringing Noah Togiai back on the practice squad. More TE depth behind the trio on the roster. (Source: Mike Kaye)

[1:33 PM ET] – The Eagles are reportedly bringing Reid Sinnett back on the practice squad. The QB Factory can’t be stopped, baby! That’s four quarterbacks now with Jalen Hurts, Gardner Minshew, and Ian Book on the roster. (Source: Tom Pelissero)

[1:21 PM ET] – The Eagles are reportedly bringing Britain Covey back on the practice squad. Depth at slot WR and returner. (Source: John Clark)

[1:17 PM ET] – The Eagles are reportedly bringing Deon Cain back on the practice squad. Nice to be able to keep him around for WR depth. (Source: Jordan Schultz)

[12:42 PM ET] – The Eagles are reportedly bringing Devon Allen back on the practice squad. Nice! Definitely flashed some intriguing potential in the final two preseason games. (Source: Mike Garafolo)

[12:37 PM ET] – Josh Blackwell got claimed by the Bears. A little surprising since he was originally waived with the Eagles trimming down to 80 players last week. He was only brought back after the Ugo Amadi trade opened up a spot for a player to eat up some reps in the preseason finale. Ended up being a good opportunity for Blackwell. Didn’t project him making the Eagles’ practice squad.

[12:35 PM ET] – Jack Anderson got claimed by the Giants after being waived by the Eagles on Tuesday. Many had Anderson making Philly’s 53 but the Birds kept Josh Sills instead. Anderson was a Bills draft pick last year so he has connections with former Buffalo executive and current Giants GM Joe Schoen. Sadly a decent pickup for the G-Men.

[12:34 PM ET] – The Eagles claimed former New Orleans Saints quarterback Ian Book. The Birds are keeping a QB3 on the roster after all.

[12:15 PM ET] – The Eagles are reportedly bringing UDFA cornerback Mario Goodrich back on the practice squad. (Source: Mike Garafolo)

[12:12 PM ET] – The Eagles are reportedly bringing Cameron Tom back on the practice squad. More depth at center. (Source: Aaron Wilson)
