Landon Dickerson was even better than advertised in 2021 and his emergence as a dominant guard coupled with left tackle Jordan Mailata has some thinking of a position switch for Isaac Seumalo.
Dickerson avoided serious injury and showed All-Pro abilities as a run blocker while improving immensely as a pass blocker as well. Dickerson is now unlikely to transition to center after Jason Kelce retires, and his rapid development has provided Howie Roseman with a litany of options moving forward.
PFF recently listed 32 breakout candidates for the 2022 NFL season, and the Eagles stud left guard landed on the list.

2021 PFF Grade: 69.6Dickerson’s best play in college came at center, and his career came to a close with a brutal torn ACL in the SEC title game. Despite all that, the second-round pick performed at a quality level for Philadelphia at left guard, where he started from Week 4 on as a rookie.
The Alabama product earned the 12th-best PFF grade among left guards over that span. Now, he needs some consistency within his pass protection to take that next step forward. With a year of going up against NFL play strength now under his belt, that breakout is possible for 2022.
Dickerson and Mailata will continue to form a dominant duo, while Isaac Seumalo could shift over to center, right guard, or find himself in a reserve role.
Philadelphia has a ton of depth on the offensive line and that’s not a bad thing.
