Kellen Moore has departed Philadelphia to become the head coach in New Orleans, and Christian Parker could follow.
A rising defensive coach in the NFL, the Eagles’ defensive backs coach will interview on Sunday for the Saints’ defensive coordinator job.
The Saints are interviewing 49ers assistant HC Brandon Staley and Eagles DBs coach Christian Parker for their defensive coordinator job today, per source. They met with Vikings DBs coach Daronte Jones yesterday.
This, obviously, will be a big hire for Kellen Moore’s 1st staff.

Parker just finished his first year as the Philadelphia Eagles’ passing game coordinator and defensive backs coach. Before his arrival, Parker coached the defensive backs for the Denver Broncos from 2021-23.
In 2023, Parker oversaw a group featuring second-team Associated Press All-Pro safety Justin Simmons and Pro Bowl cornerback Pat Surtain. Under Parker’s direction, Simmons led the Broncos’ defense with three interceptions to go along with 70 tackles and eight passes defended, while Surtain finished with 12 passes defensed and one interception.
Parker played a key role this season in developing Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean, two NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year candidates.
