The Eagles firing of Doug Pederson signaled a rebuild for the franchise and another chance to avoid being featured on the critically acclaimed docuseries, HBO’s Hard Knocks, NFL training camp.

Based on the agreed-upon terms between the clubs and league that went into effect in 2014, NFL teams can avoid mandatory inclusion on Hard Knocks if they fall under any of three exemptions:

They have a first-year head coach.
They have a playoff berth in the past two seasons.
They have appeared on Hard Knocks in the past 10 years.

The first-year head coach and 2019 playoff birth assured that Jeffrey Lurie’s team could avoid the scrutiny, but one big named NFC East club will now get the nod according to Adam Schefter.

The league just confirmed the announcement.

With Dak Prescott returning from injury, the Dallas Cowboys and Jerry Jones will be featured.

Prescott has his contract, while players like Ezekiel Elliott, Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, and CeeDee Lamb ensure a ton of star power.

Look for former Penn State star linebacker Micah Parsons to become the star of training camp.
