The Philadelphia Eagles are signing wide receiver Terrace Marshall, which may lead to a surprising blockbuster trade during the draft. According to reports, the team is signing another wideout to their department, even though they already have three capable receivers on the roster. This might mean the Eagles are preparing to trade at least one of their pass catchers, as they want to avoid a little overcrowding. Last season, quarterback Jalen Hurts led the team to a Super Bowl win but was underutilizing wide receiver Jahan Dotson, so it shouldn’t be surprising if they will consider putting him on the trade block.
Originally selected in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, the former Penn State may have played his final game last season with the Eagles, helping them earn another Lombardi Trophy. Dotson had one of the worst seasons, recording just 19 receptions for 219 receiving yards. The wide receiver might be better off playing for a team that will get him the ball in aerial attack at the right moments. Since Hurts has been utilizing DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown for the majority of passes already, it’s safe to say Dotson’s tenure is up in the air.
Dotson might not earn a long-term deal with a new roster, but he could join these five teams to revive his career.

Next Possible Teams
Los Angeles Chargers
The Los Angeles Chargers will likely draft a new wide receiver, hoping to find another Ladd McConkey, but they might want to consider trading for one. They couldn’t buy off DK Metcalf from the Seahawks this offseason, so this could be their chance to invest in a low-risk wideout like Jahan Dotson. Quentin Johnston is probably playing out his way on the roster, so they need someone to help McConkey in the aerial attack. Free agent signee Mike Williams is too past his prime, and it looks more like a temporary option for the Chargers.
Carolina Panthers
Meanwhile, the Panthers are eventually going to need another wide receiver, whether that’s this year or next season. Adam Thielen is returning for what is probably his last year with the Panthers before hanging up his cleats. Xavier Legette and Jalen Coker may explode this upcoming season, and they should put quarterback Bryce Young in the best position to win. Dotson would be a perfect fit in Dave Canales’ offensive system since he has Super Bowl experience that can translate for what this team is looking for to push them for at least a wild-card.
Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs are in a weird position in terms of their wide receiving department. Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice will only get better on the field as long as they can stay out of trouble. Depending on what happens with them, they should add another wide receiver. Dotson won’t get many touches here, but he would be a part of a winning culture, and who knows, Patrick Mahomes could bring out the best in him like he did with Justin Watson.
New Orleans Saints
The Saints might need another wide receiver. Chris Olave could request a trade if this team continues to lose under quarterback Derek Carr. If that happens, the Saints should be prepared for trade for another capable wideout like Dotson, who still has a lot of upside.
Baltimore Ravens
In Baltimore, the wide receiver department will look dramatically different. DeAndre Hopkins is joining the Ravens in hopes of winning a Super Bowl, so he’s most likely a temporary player on this roster. With that, the team should finally get a capable long-term option like Dotson behind Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman.
