Former Villanova basketball coach Jay Wright is being linked to one of the most intriguing jobs in the NBA this Tuesday.
Immediately after the 76ers parted ways with head coach Doc Rivers, the basketball world started speculating about Wright’s future.
While the idea of Wright coming out of retirement to coach the 76ers is exciting, NBA fans don’t expect this to become a reality.

Wright certainly knows how to handle the pressure of coaching a team with sky-high expectations. In 21 seasons at Villanova, he won the national championship twice and made the Final Four a grand total of four times.
Unfortunately for 76ers fans, there’s currently no indication that Wright will be on Philadelphia’s radar.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the 76ers may interview Mike Budenholzer, Sam Cassell, Mike D’Antoni, Nick Nurse, Frank Vogel and Monty Williams for their job opening.
