Villanova has secured two transfer portal acquisitions on the same day.
James Madison transfer Bryce Lindsay will play for the Wildcats next season, his agency announced on Thursday.
The 6-foot-3 guard averaged 13.4 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game in his freshman season for the Dukes. Lindsay began his career at Texas A&M, but only played 8 games with the program before transferring to James Madison as a redshirt freshman.
Villanova also announced the signing of Maryland transfer Braden Pierce on the same day. Pierce is following Villanova’s new head coach, Kevin Willard, from Maryland.
The Wildcats have been active in forming a new roster around their new coach. They will also be bringing in Temple transfer Zion Stanford and Maryland transfer Malachi Palmer as they look to return towards the top of the BIG EAST.
