Kurt Warner’s Son, A QB Recruit, Announces Commitment

January 27, 2022 by The Spun

Kurt Warner looks on and smiles.

On Wednesday night, three-star quarterback Elijah Warner announced where he’ll be playing college football.

Warner, the son of Hall of Fame quarterback Kurt Warner, will be taking his talents to Temple. He announced that he’s “100 percent committed” to the program on Twitter.

The Phoenix Brophy Prep quarterback had offers from Connecticut, Ball State, Colorado, Eastern Kentucky, Georgia Souther, Hawaii, Marshall and a few more programs. At the end of the day, Temple won the sweepstakes.

In his senior season, Warner had 2,742 passing yards and 26 touchdowns. He led his team to a 7-5 record and a playoff appearance.

Though he has a lot of work left to reach his father’s level of success, Warner is on the right track.

Warner’s head coach at Brophy Prep, Jason Jewell, has nothing but praise for his quarterback.

“We asked him to do a ton in our offense,” Jewell said, via AZCentral. “He was our point guard. Got us in the right plays and protections. So happy that he landed at Temple. No doubt in my mind that he has the intelligence, quick release and arm strength to be a good football player for them.”

Only time will tell if Elijah Warner can have success at the collegiate level.
