Penn State Quarterback Drew Allar’s Status For Ohio State Leaning One Way

Penn State is expected to have its starting quarterback against Ohio State this Saturday.

Per On3’s Pete Nakos, Drew Allar is expected to play against Ohio State even though he got injured last Saturday against Wisconsin. He may not be 100% but has participated in practice this week.

Allar suffered a left leg injury against Wisconsin last Saturday and missed the second half of Penn State’s 28-13 win.

That said, it appears he’s good to go for Penn State’s biggest game of the season to date. Penn State comes into this game with a perfect 7-0 record and is trying to keep its Big Ten title and College Football Playoff hopes alive with a big win over its biggest rival.

The Nittany Lions have lost seven straight against the Buckeyes and haven’t beaten them since 2016 in State College.

To snap that streak, Allar will need to have the best game of his season. He’s off to a strong start in seven games, completing 71.3% of his passes for 1,640 yards through the air, 12 touchdowns, and four interceptions.

College GameDay will be in State College to help preview the game and the rest of the slate of games later in the day.

The only downside about this game is that it’s not at night. FOX has the rights to the game and will nationally televise it beginning at Noon ET.
