ESPN’s College GameDay traveled to Happy Valley on Saturday for the much-anticipated matchup between No. 22 Auburn and No. 10 Penn State.
Just as they do each week, the GameDay hosts made their final picks for the featured game at the end of the show.
With the Penn State faithful ready to bring an electric atmosphere in the team’s annual “White Out” game, the GameDay crew found it difficult to go against the home team.
Alongside Penn State legend Saquon Barkley, longtime analyst Lee Corso made his iconic headgear pick — donning the Nittany Lions mascot head and unveiling a “White Out” shirt underneath his suit to the delight of the massive crowd in Happy Valley.

Before making his pick, Corso teased the Penn State-heavy crowd. Despite being overwhelmingly considered one of the greatest atmospheres in college football, the 86-year-old analyst questioned the effectiveness of the “White Out” crowd.
“Why is it so tough to play at PSU in a white out when they are 6-6?” he asked, inciting a cascade of boos from the Nittany Lions crowd.

In this rare Big Ten vs. SEC matchup, Penn State is favored by 5 points. These two programs have only faced off on two occasions, with the Tigers winning the last matchup 13-9 back in 2003.
Both teams are 2-0 to start their 2021 seasons. Penn State notched victories over No. 12 Wisconsin and Ball State and Auburn collected blowout wins over Akron and Alabama State.
Under the lights in Beaver Stadium, tonight’s game will kickoff at 7:30 p.m. ET.
