Finally, a Sixer star is getting some proper use out of their endorsement deal.

Over the past decade, the Philadelphia 76ers have had no shortage of star players — Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid, and Jimmy Butler, to name a few. Each has secured endorsement deals to varying degrees, but a common thread remains: none have truly established themselves with a signature sneaker line.

Embiid did release a signature shoe during his time with Under Armour, but it lasted just over a year. Even Paul George, who once had a signature line with Nike, currently finds himself without one.

That trend may finally be shifting. On Monday afternoon, New Balance debuted a new color pack featuring rising star Tyrese Maxey — signaling a potential step toward a more prominent sneaker presence for the Sixers. Shoe Retriever was the first to report the information to the masses:

The new color pack will showcase two New Balance silhouettes: the 1906R and the Hesi Low V2. For those less familiar with the sneaker scene, the 1906R is New Balance’s flagship lifestyle model — versatile enough for walking, running, or everyday casual wear. In contrast, the Hesi Low V2 is designed specifically for basketball and is a popular choice among NBA players, including Maxey, who regularly laces them up during games.

While there are subtle design differences between the two models, both primarily feature a white base, complemented by purple and light blue/teal accents. The 1906R offers a slightly more colorful look, incorporating subtle gold detailing throughout the upper, along with a sail-white finish on the midsole and lace area. Both shoes will feature a unique design on the insole, which showcases Maxey’s signature in a comic-like action bubble.

Both pairs will be available for purchase on July 31. The 1906R will retail for $160, while the performance-focused Hesi Low V2 will be priced at $120.

Maxey is as marketable an athlete as any, and it remains to be seen whether New Balance will take the next step in their partnership by giving him a signature shoe. For now, these two well-established models, each strong in their respective category, offer wide appeal. The colorway is clean, versatile, and stylish enough to complement a variety of outfits or looks.
