After three games, the Sixers have looked a lot better than many people anticipated.
The team won their first game rather easily against the New Oreland Pelicans, led the Brooklyn Nets for the majority of the game, and beat the Oklahoma City Thunder with no problem.
Even though the competition hasn’t been the best so far, the Sixers have actually looked pretty good without Ben Simmons.
It’s unclear whether Simmons will play for the Sixers this season or ever again for that matter, but the team is one minute bad minute away from starting 3-0. It’s very common to see teams with this much drama surrounding them succeed, but the Sixers are managing.
The best part about it is that there hasn’t been one person carrying the team, it has been a mix of guys. Joel Embiid has picked up right where he left off from last year on a bum knee, Tobias Harris has shown up and Seth Curry had an insane 1st quarter against the Thunder. The bench has been outstanding, highlighted by Furkan Korkmaz’s late game heroics on opening night.

It has been reported that the team chemistry has been at an all time high but it has been in full display through three games.
It seems like since the beginning of time the Sixers have blown leads, and this year seems to be The only hiccup so far was against the Nets in the final minute and it was a biggie. Make no mistake about it, the blown leads need to stop and they fall on the shoulders of Doc Rivers.
Forget what some may think about Doc Rivers, he has been around the block before and should continue to try to iron out late game situations. With an experienced head coach and another year of Joel Embiid in his prime, the Sixers owe it to themselves to still go for it this season.
The Eastern Conference division winners played right with the Nets without their second best player and still are a threat to be recconed with. This season can still be fun with all the drama, the Sixers certainly have the talent to do so.
