Third overall pick VJ Edgecombe and the Sixers will take on the San Antonio Spurs and second overall pick Dylan Harper.
So even the Summer League schedule is getting leaked in bits and pieces these days?
Now that the dust has settled, the NBA has officially announced a couple nationally televised games for this year’s Summer League. After selecting one of the top picks in the 2025 draft in VJ Edgecombe, the Sixers are featured in the July 10 doubleheader when they take on the San Antonio Spurs.

The league hopes that all three top draft picks will be in action that night as they’ve pitted the second and third overall picks against each other. Cooper Flagg and the Mavericks will be taking on the Lakers in the first game. As an aside, they are doing Bronny James no favors pairing him next to those three names.
So the first game in Las Vegas has been set for Philadelphia, but it has yet to be said whether they will take part in the Salt Lake City session as well. The Sixers have regularly participated in that event, which is typically a week before the whole league comes together for the Vegas session.
Between the incoming rookies and second-year players, the Sixers could have a pretty exciting squad this year. Gina Mizell of the Inquirer and Zach Ciavolella of Philadelphia Sports Network have reported that Justin Edwards said he plans to play this year. Jared McCain has also expressed interest in playing as well, and it feels likely the team will want to send Adem Bona as well.
Sixers wing Justin Edwards said he will play in the NBA’s Summer League this offseason. How much playing time he ultimately sees, time will tell.

Update: 2:43 p.m.
Well maybe not in too many bits and pieces. NBA.com has released the full Summer League schedule. As expected, the Sixers will once again take part in the Salt Lake City league as well starting on July 5th.
That’ll be when they take on the Utah Jazz at 9 p.m. on ESPN. So the Sixers could potentially get the first look at Ace Bailey in an NBA uniform. Then they’ll take on the OKC Thunder on July 7th at 7 p.m. on ESPN. They’ll wrap up in Utah on the 8th when they take on the Memphis Grizzlies on NBATV, also at 7 p.m. ET.
That ESPN showdown against the Spurs will be the Sixers’ first game in the Vegas league. The rest of their group play includes the Charlotte Hornets on July 12th, then they’ll take on the Washington Wizards on the 15th, and will finish up against Flagg and the Mavs on the 16h.
