The Philadelphia Sixers are hopeful that Joel Embiid can avoid surgery on his injured knee, according to Tony Jones of The Athletic.
The Sixers and Embiid are consulting with doctors and looking at alternatives to treat his knee.
Embiid’s surgery last February did not remove all of his meniscus cartilage.
The Sixers’ goal has been to reduce Embiid’s symptoms as there is no indication that more surgery would “fix” his knee.
