You all deserve a nomination for making it through this season.
The Sixers wrapped up their 2024-25 season in fitting fashion, coming out strong before running out of gas in the second half to fall 122-102 to the Chicago Bulls Sunday afternoon. After a season of everything going wrong, they’ll finish at 24-58.
Lonnie Walker IV led all scorers with 31 while Kevin Huerter led the Bulls with 18.
For one last time this season, let’s talk bell ringer.
Lonnie Walker IV
Walker has had plenty of chances to show his self-creation chops over these last few games, and has done an alright job of it. He was more than alright in this one as he matched his career-high. His three-point shot was falling all night as he finished 8-of-15 from beyond the arc while going 11-of-23 from the field overall.
In several of these games he’s failed to keep that level of scoring throughout the entire game but in this one his pull-up jumpers were quite literally the only thing of note for the Sixers in the fourth quarter. However many teams he’s trying out for for next season that’s a really good note to end on.
speaking of @lonniewalker_4, he’s up to 2️⃣5️⃣ points and counting! pic.twitter.com/r7fbkZNHxR

Adem Bona
The best thing to say about this Bona performance is that resembled several of his games down the stretch of the season. He came out with another aggressive start, putting up 12 points in the first half. The efficiency he’s had over this time is easily one of, if not the most encouraging sign.
Also during that time, at least since March 9, he’s led the league in blocks per game with 2.5. He also leads the league in goal tends during that time, but that comes with the territory with how active he is and how active the team wants him to be. He finished this one with 16 points along with nine boards, two blocks and a steal.

Jared Butler
Unsurprisingly, most of his production came in the first half but hey, who wasn’t ready to clock out of this one early? This wasn’t Butler’s best night as a facilitator but he made sure to find Bona for some lobs a couple of times, finishing his night with five assists. He got enough shots up to finish with 19 points (7-of-17 FG), including having the distinct pleasure of making the Sixers’ final field goal of the season. That’ll be a hell of a trivia question 20 years from now.
