Fresh off a pair of 10-day contracts with the Raptors, Colin Castleton will reportedly sign one with the Sixers.
The Philadelphia 76ers are reportedly adding another player on a 10-day contract using the hardship exception. This time, they’re signing Colin Castleton, who recently completed back-to-back 10-day deals with the Toronto Raptors. Jake Fischer was the first to report the news.
The Sixers plan to sign Colin Castleton to a 10-day contract, according to league sources. Castleton is fresh off consecutive 10-day contracts with the Raptors.

Castleton played five years in college, spending two seasons at Michigan before finishing his final three at Florida. He went undrafted in the 2023 NBA Draft but has had brief stints with the Los Angeles Lakers, Memphis Grizzlies and Toronto Raptors. Unlike most of Philadelphia’s recent signings, the 6-foot-10 big man will help strengthen their depleted center rotation. Joel Embiid has been ruled out for the season, while Andre Drummond and Guerschon Yabusele are also sidelined, further depleting the 76ers’ frontcourt depth.
Castleton has spent most of this season with the Osceola Magic in the G League, averaging 17.4 points, 10.6 rebounds, 1 steal and 1.2 blocks in 29.2 minutes per game across 19 regular-season appearances. Castleton will provide some desperately needed size, rebounding and interior defense to the shorthanded Sixers.
Like the other 10-day signings, this move is largely a short-term solution, but it offers an opportunity for both Castleton and the 76ers. For Philadelphia, he brings much-needed size and depth to a frontcourt struggling with injuries, including the season-ending loss of Embiid. For Castleton, it’s a chance to showcase his skills at the NBA level after spending time with multiple teams in the G League. Strong play could earn him a consideration beyond this contract and season.
Castleton will likely have a chance to make his Sixer debut against the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday.
