The Sixers are seemingly going to be busy up to the trade deadline as a reported KJ Martin trade is in the works. We just have no idea where Martin is going or what they’re getting.
Both Martins appear to be headed out of town as KJ Martin is reportedly being set to be traded.
We just don’t know where to or what exactly the Sixers are getting.
This news broke in parts, as PHLY’s Kyle Neubeck first reported that Martin was out for the Sixers’ game against the Dallas Mavericks due to a pending trade.
Jake Fischer of the Stein Line reported a few moments later that Philadelphia is still weighing multiple options, with a deal expected to be completed the next day.
Oddly, it appears the trade will amount to nothing more than a salary dump, though we don’t know the full scope of all the Sixers’ moves.
As things stand now, the Sixers’ pending trade of KJ Martin is not expected to net the team a player in return, a source tells @thephillyvoice.

Martin was the only Sixer on the injury report not to be addressed by the team pregame. The only details Nick Nurse provided was that he was still the furthest away from playing substantial minutes.
His last game was all the way back on Dec. 23 against the Spurs, where he suffered a stress reaction in his left foot. He had been having a bit out of a breakout before then, putting up a career-high 65% effective field goal percentage while being one of the team’s most versatile defenders. He started in seven of the 24 games he appeared, including his last four before suffering the injury.
He was viewed as one of the team’s biggest trade chips the moment he resigned in the summer though. His $7.9 million annual salary was seen as a balloon deal to help facilitate a bigger trade.
