Paul George’s 2024-25 season has come to an early end. On Monday, he received injections in his left adductor muscle and left knee, and the team announced he will be sidelined for at least six weeks — officially ruling him out for the rest of the season.
George spent the past week consulting with doctors on the best treatment options. George’s first season with the Sixers comes to a close with 41 games played, averaging 16.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.8 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game, along with 2.6 turnovers. He shot 43% from the field, 35.8% from three, and 81.4% from the free-throw line.
George’s numbers this season reflect a solid but somewhat underwhelming campaign, especially considering the expectations that came with his massive four-year, $211 million contract. While his all-around contributions remained valuable in certain games, his scoring efficiency and overall production dipped considerably compared to his peak years.
