The hits just never seem to stop coming for this Philadelphia 76ers team this season. On Saturday night, Paul George exited in the first half against the Chicago Bulls and was later ruled out with a finger injury.
Postgame update
Nick Nurse said after the Philadelphia 76ers win over the Chicago Bulls on Saturday night that Paul George “jammed” the pinky on his left hand and will have an MRI done Sunday.
What a vicious cycle this team has stumbled into.
After just a 42 second shift in the middle of the second quarter, Paul George left the game in Chicago Saturday night and was later ruled out with what the team has called a “left fifth finger injury.” Apparently “the pinky” is not an official medical term.
It was pretty tough to catch, as this happened right around the same time that Tyrese Maxey got into a verbal altercation with a fan (eventually leading to that fan’s removal). The play in question with George, though, appeared to happened when he was fighting for a rebound with the Bulls’ Nik Vucevic.
Paul George will NOT return to Sixers-Bulls tonight with a left pinky injury.

He finished the night with just nine points on 3-of-6 shooting in only 12:42 minutes of action.
Including the preseason, this is the third game George has left prematurely due to injury as this continues to be the most cursed season ever for anyone in a Sixers’ uniform. George has already missed 14 contests this campaign. The team can only hope a finger problem won’t keep him out as long as the identical bone bruises he suffered in his left knee back in October and November.
