The Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers are each willing to trade their respective stars, James Harden and Ben Simmons, but the discussions are centered on the other pieces, sources tell Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer.
The Sixers have been adamant about not packaging their young standouts Tyrese Maxey and Matisse Thybulle.
The two teams spoke on Thursday morning.
Philadelphia co-owner Michael Rubin is in involved in the situation and the Nets are asking for a lot in exchange for Harden, a source told Pompey.
One source said Seth Curry was out of a potential deal as of Thursday morning.
Pompey reports shortly after 1:00 PM EST that the inclusion of Thybulle is holding up a trade as all other issues have been agreed upon.
