The NBA trade deadline has arrived! The Sixers have been busy and there’s been a ton of player movement around the league. Join the discussion.
The NBA trade deadline is here — and we’ve already seen a ton of action.
The Dallas Mavericks kicked things off by making one of the worst trades in professional sports history in trading 25-year-old perennial MVP candidate Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers. We’ve seen several All-Stars move already. Anthony Davis is a Maverick, De’Aaron Fox is a San Antonio Spur, Zack LaVine is a Sacramento King, Brandon Ingram is a Toronto Raptor, and, of course, former Sixer Jimmy Butler is now a Golden State Warrior.
The Sixers haven’t been sitting on their hands. Daryl Morey has made one perplexing move sandwiched by two solid ones. He did will to get younger at guard by acquiring Quentin Grimes from the Mavericks for Caleb Martin and Jared Butler from the Washington Wizards for Reggie Jackson. He also helped future flexibility by adding five second-round picks altogether. Salary dumping KJ Martin is a bit of a head-scratcher, to put it mildly.
Here is a place for the Liberty Ballers community to give their thoughts and feelings on the trades we’ve seen and what happens in the second half. Have fun!
