The Philadelphia 76ers have re-signed veteran guard Eric Gordon after he declined his $3.4 million player option for the 2025-26 season. Gordon returns to Philadelphia on a new one-year contract that reduces the team’s cap hit to $2.3 million.
Gordon originally joined the 76ers last offseason, and proved to be a reliable three-point threat throughout his first season. The veteran guard averaged 6.8 points while shooting 40.9 percent from beyond the arc in 39 games with 13 starts.
The Indiana native’s most productive stretch came in January when he appeared in all 17 Philadelphia games. Gordon averaged 9.8 points on 52.0 percent shooting from the field and an impressive 52.6 percent from three-point range during that month.
Gordon reached double-digit scoring on 14 occasions during the 2024-25 season, with 11 of those performances occurring in January. His season-high 15 points came against Cleveland on January 24, when he shot a perfect 4-for-4 from three-point range. Gordon’s 40.9 percent three-point shooting last season marked the fourth-highest rate of his NBA career.
