An up-to-date tracker on all Sixers rumors and major moves leading into the 2025 NBA trade deadline.
Trade season has officially heated up. A blockbuster deal that sent Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers for Anthony Davis officially kicked off the season. The Sixers have now dipped their toes in the water as well as a few other deals have shuffled in. With the 3 p.m. deadline on Feb. 6 barreling closer, Liberty Ballers has put together a tracker to keep everyone up to date on all the latest deals and rumors.
KJ Martin out because of pending trade, per report
Daryl Morey has kept busy Tuesday. PHLY’s Kyle Neubeck is reporting that forward KJ Martin is out vs. the Mavericks with a trade pending.
The Sixers are updating KJ Martin to OUT, with a trade pending, source tells me. More to come

Martin was essentially re-signed this offseason with the intent to trade him. His contract was a balloon deal, meant to be able to match salaries in a trade. The wrinkle here is that Martin was actually playing well before he got hurt. He’s been dealing with a stress reaction in his left foot since Dec. 23 and has missed the last 21 games (including Tuesday night).
Sounds like Philly is weighing multiple options for KJ Martin, with a deal expected to be completed by tomorrow. https://t.co/BX9k8KfTJv

Sixers receive: Quentin Grimes, 2025 second-round pick (best of Denver or Philadelphia)
Mavericks receive: Caleb Martin
Philadelphia’s first deadline move was a bit surprising given that they still had Martin under contract for another three seasons. While he wasn’t apart of their Big 3, he was part of the group that just wasn’t able to play together. Martin only appeared in 31 games for the Sixers, dealing with a string of shoulder, hip and ankle injuries.
In return, they get a player five years younger in Grimes, having his best three-point shooting season of his career at 39.8%. The Sixers will have a decision to make come the summer as he will be a restricted free agent. Before the trade, Philadelphia also didn’t have a single pick in the 2025 draft, so they were able to restock a bit.
Dallas is sending Quentin Grimes
and Philadelphia’s 2025 second-round pick back to the 76ers for Martin, sources tell ESPN. https://t.co/4vSqohB03U— Shams Charania (@ShamsCharania) February 4, 2025
Spurs receive: De’Aaron Fox, Jordan McLaughlin
Kings receive: Zach Lavine, Sidy Cissoko, three first round picks, three second round picks
Bulls receive: Kevin Huerter, Tre Jones, Zach Collins, their own 2025 first round pick via SAS
The headline of this deal wasn’t very surprising. The Spurs were reported to be at the top of Fox’s desired destinations. Chicago’s involvement comes as a bit of a surprise, especially given they didn’t receive much in return save for their own pick back — a pick that was already top-10 protected this year and likely would have stayed with the Bulls anyway.
Full trade:
Spurs: De’Aaron Fox, Jordan McLaughlin
Kings: Zach LaVine, Sidy Cissoko, three first round picks (2025 CHA, 2027 SAS, 2031 MIN), three second round picks (2025 CHI, 2028 DEN, 2028 own back)
Bulls: Zach Collins, Tre Jones, Kevin Huerter, their own 2025 pick via SAS https://t.co/UgwylCUYAO

Lakers receive: Luka Doncic, Maxi Kleber, Markeiff Morris,
Mavericks receive: Anthony Davis, Max Christie, 2029 LAL first round pick
Jazz receive: Jalen Hood-Schifino , 2025 LAC second round pick, 2025 DAL second round pick
The most telling thing about this trade is how many times Shams’ Charania felt the need to say “Yes, this is real” as he was breaking the news. They really traded Luka Doncic, man.
