One way or another, tonight will be a night Sixers fans remember for a long time.
We are here. Lottery night. Do you remember this feeling, Sixers fans? It has been a good half-decade-plus since the franchise has been involved in one of these and those familiar butterflies are returning. Philadelphia has a statistically significant chance of landing the first overall pick and the opportunity to select the crown jewel of this year’s draft, Cooper Flagg. However, they also have a significant chance of losing the draft pick entirely to Oklahoma City, potentially sending the future of the team over the cliff into the abyss. Here’s a helpful recap of the percentages for this evening:
The NBA Draft Lottery is tonight! Here’s a quick refresher on the Sixers’ odds. Philly must draw a top-six pick to retain it. Otherwise, it goes to OKC.

Ending up above that dotted line is of paramount importance. Jared McCain will be on hand to bring good vibes to the proceedings on behalf of the Sixers.
Starting from the back of the lottery, the team cards below are the ones that we want to see come up. If a team gets skipped over in this order, then that team jumped into the top four. If two or more of these teams jump into the top four, then the Sixers will lose their first-round pick (unless they also jump into the top four).
Atlanta’s pick heading to San Antonio
Sacramento’s pick heading to Atlanta
Chicago Bulls
Dallas Mavericks
Portland Trail Blazers
Phoenix’s pick heading to Houston
San Antonio Spurs
Toronto Raptors
Brooklyn Nets
If we see Brooklyn’s card, and no more than one of these teams jumped up, then we can breathe a huge sigh of relief. Let’s cross our fingers and toes tonight and hope that the odds are ever in our favor.
